She reassures her sister that she's getting the girl. Elements and recurring themes that were core components of both Vampire Diaries and The Originals were largely nonexistent in Legacies. Turning to face her, Hope reiterates that it takes god magic to kill a god. She remembers that her real father was a vampire hunter once and trying to be a teacher is what put him in a coma. Lizzie asks MG to deliver the news to Ethan since she's not very good at it. Lizzie rushes Aurora to cut him open and retrieve the key, but Aurora questions if she's ever witnessed how complicated the inner workings of the human body are. Lizzie explains that she cast a Conus silenti spell before she stabbed her and that no one can hear anything she's saying. They know where the key is, though Lizzie doesn't know if they should be doing this, given the information Jen has given them about her father. This upsets her and she makes up her mind to ask her out on a real date and storms out of the classroom. MG and Lizzie quickly follow behind. Back to when Tristan was alive, to when her father wasn't broken, to when Hope had her humanity and Josie was still with her. She also has another plan. Josie's relieved that she's not signing, but Lizzie tells her that she is; the slugs revealed her uninhibited self and the spotlight is officially hers. She believes that they don't think that she can change and they'll just assume she'll be mean. 7. Lizzie gets Aurora to tell her more of her plan. Hope calls her bluff, believing that therapy is tricky, because knowing what you need to do and going through with it are two different things. But their happiness is their own job. She tries not to reveal Hope's secret, however things are difficult, especially when Landon reveals that he and Josie did not have sex. Rejoining the party, Hope stands in front of Alaric and the students, including her, MG, Finch, and Jed preparing a speech. If Jen was telling them the truth about the key, she questions Lizzie about how they would identify the sarcophagus that holds the god they're after. Jed questions why they're trusting Ben again and Alaric explains that he's proven to him that he's on their side. Lizzie tells him to put it back on, but ends up kissing him nonetheless. Jen however liked hanging out, offering to do it again sometime. She's shocked, but that gives him an idea. Aurora dismisses it, believing that her family would have done the same in her day. 4.
